This provides trouble shooting skills in an environment using Cisco routers & switches for multiprotocol client hosts & servers connected with Ethernet & Fast Ethernet LANs, Serial, Frame Relay, & ISDN BRI WANs. The student learns a methodical practice using specific Cisco IOS software & Catalyst software tools to diagnose & correct problems on widely installed Cisco products.

CIT requires that you already know how to work with Cisco IOS & Catalyst software. These skills can be gained from self-paced or instructor-led training sessions & from work experience. The participant should have a working knowledge of:
