TechNow's Solaris 8 Certification Boot Camp is a comprehensive, hands-on course that gives students the knowledge & skills they need to administer & troubleshoot a Solaris based network.  It also prepares students for the 2 exams that lead to the Sun Certified System Administrator credential.  It is an intensive 6 day, 60 hour immersion course that allows students to quickly master system administration skills, get certified & get ahead!

To be eligible to take this course you must pass a pre-class assessment.  It is also recommended that you have a minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience as a Solaris Network administrator.

This Boot Camp is meant for Solaris system administrators with a minimum of 6 months experience.  The optimum level of experience is 2 years.  In order to assure that students are prepared for this course they are required to pass an assessment exam before attending class.

The Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA) credential requires passing 2 exams & demonstrates your ability to manage & maintain a Sun server.  The first exam is 310-011, which covers 68 questions in 90 minutes & requires a score of 75 or better to pass.  The second exam is 310-012, which covers 61 questions in in 105 minutes & requires a score of 70 or better to pass.
