I highly recommend TechNow
for CISSP based on the following:
1. Class size. I have heard horror stories
of 30-40 person Boot Camp. TechNow keeps the
class size to less than 15. There were only 4
students in my group. This really facilitated a
great learning environment.
2. Instructor
knowledge. He
was able to field all of our questions and provided
outstanding assistance in helping us prepare.
Also, his "style" of instruction won him extra points
with me as I'm easily distracted and he was able to
help me maintain focus.
3. Quality of study
materials. I cannot over-emphasize this.
The study materials provided were right on the mark in
preparing us for the test. We were given the
book over two months prior to the test which allowed
ample time to read the material. The book is
then used as a guide/reference during the camp.
4. Structure. The
camp was broken into 2-3 domains a day. Each
domain studied was followed by comprehensive knowledge
tests designed to help you weed out your weak areas.
This approach really worked quite well.
5. Pass Rate. Our
instructor has a 95% pass rate among all students
tested who attended his camp.

I received my CISSP book a
month before class, which was great. I was able
to study beforehand and didn't incur added expenses
buying the book myself. TechNow is really
providing a great deal for the class. The
instructor made the class fun while drilling home the
important points of security. He made sure we
didn't just do book work. He applied a lot of
real world practical knowledge and examples to back up
what the books stated. Without that,
understanding the course content would have been very
hard. Knowing that you have top notch
instructors on staff along with the deal you provide
should make it a no-brainer for professionals who go
looking for CISSP Training.

Our office is responsible for the Certification and
Accreditation
of all Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
systems within the Air Force and the Air Intelligence
Agency. Therefore, I rely on skilled personnel to
teach people within my office on system and network
vulnerabilities. I can tell you that I was very
impressed with TechNow's teaching style and ability to
work technical issues and problems with students
in the class. Bottom line is the instructor went the
extra mile. Because of this I have sent several people
from my office to TechNow for training. In my
personal communications with other agencies (USAFE,
DIA, NSA) they also have referenced using TechNow for
training and assistance.

I was very impressed
with the material covered and the skill of the
instructor. It was an honor to be in the same
room with so many intelligent professionals. I
did pass the certification exam and am very pleased
with the thorough understanding I gained about the
issues covered in the class. The whole operation
was very well run and it was a tremendous
convenience staying at the same hotel as the course
was given in. The thought that your

Customized

I am a supervisor over
Unix and Oracle system administrators at the Defense
Information Systems Agency. As a supervisor, I project
all the training requirements for my branch. We get
our Unix (Sun and HP) and Oracle training from
Technow. We have sent over 40 personnel through
a series of Unix, Oracle, and NT/2000 training in the
past 2 years. The reviews I received from the
personnel who attended these classes had nothing but
good comments about the quality of training and the
knowledge level the instructor had of the subject
matter. I personally have attended 3 Unix classes and
feel that the quality of training and instructors were
excellent. A great attribute of TechNow is that they
can tailor the lesson to the customer's training
requirements and will fit the training to meet your
mission's needs. We have worked with TechNow for
several years and we have always been impressed with
how they are willing to work with the customer.

One of the many things that make TechNow a great
choice of IT instruction is their ability to provide
tailored training, focused on the requirements we face
across our theater and allowing us to truly simulate
conditions of our large bases as well as our smaller,
less-robust, sites. Our experience with classroom
instruction from other vendors has typically been
"Text Book" instruction where students go through a
pre-defined agenda, following checklist instructions
they could get from anyone, and being taught across a
broad spectrum of technology even if half of it
doesn't pertain to the student's (or U.S. military's
network) focus. Additionally, TechNow instructors are
extremely knowledgeable in all facets of data
networks. This enables us to see, learn, and practice
across the full scope of the technology in regards to
installation, maintenance, and network impact. Lastly,
TechNow has proven to be extremely flexible in
coordinating training schedules in lieu of operational
circumstances. They have permitted us to change
training dates with little notice, at no additional
cost or contracts to write/coordinate.

I have taken a total of 12
technical courses . Three were at a different training
company and the other 9 were with TechNow - 2 Cisco
courses (on routers and switches) and 7 Win2K courses
- and I can honestly tell you that TechNow provides,
by far, the best technical instruction I have ever
received. All of the TechNow instructors I've had are
very good. In the two 1-week Cisco courses, we got
very in-depth. We learned a lot about networking
basics, received a ton of command line experience on
both switches and routers, and we tore down and
rebuilt our "network" at least 6 times. We did just
about everything you can do with the equipment,
including setting up VLANs and NATs and
troubleshooting problems that the instructor injected
into our network. In fact, with virtually no prior
experience on Cisco devices, I was able to take the
knowledge I gained from the instruction and easily
pass the CCNA exam.

Hack and Defend
Training |

Bar none, this has been the best training experience I
have had in my 8 years in the industry. The
course content was incredibly informative.
Addressing these security issues leads to an
exponential growth in knowledge about technology and
computer science. The instructor was far more
knowledgeable that I anticipated, combining real
world international experience with a tremendous
teaching style and warm personality. Great

First off, let me say that everyone that I worked with
to schedule the class was very helpful and courteous.
I was very pleased with the Travel and Training
package. This saved me several hours work in
scheduling hotels, airline tickets and at least 30
minutes worth of paper work that our college requires.
When I arrived to the class on the first day I was
pleasantly greeted and directed to the class and also
the refreshments. The security instructor was
very professional and friendly. He jumped right into
the material and I began learning new things
immediately. The entire class was very beneficial to
me as a LAN administrator. I feel that I am now
better qualified to create security policies and
implement these policies to make our LAN quite a bit
more safe. I was very pleased with the class and
will recommend your company to other colleagues.

By far the best security class I have been to.
The hands-on training really clarified stuff that was
only taught in theory in other classes (like SANS).
The instructor was extremely knowledgeable.

degree and have had extensive technical training, so
I've had a lot of different classes and instructors.
The Perl instructor is one of the very best I've ever
had. Excellent teaching and presentation skills,
a helpful demeanor and a perfect teaching pace.

This is the first class I have taken anywhere, where I
was not bored! Although I had used some of the
basics already, the more detailed explanations and
labs helped me better understand UNIX. I've been
to other training facilities where the instructor only
knew the course material and was not a "real world"
user. The fact that your instructor uses UNIX
and is a real power user gives us a better
understanding of what it can really do. Great
