This course is intended for students with a strong Solaris 10 background. It will demonstrate the enhancements to zones and ZFS as well as the new features. During the course, students will examine the Automated Installer (AI), Image Packaging System (IPS) and network virtualization through lecture and extensive hands-on labs. This course is intended for system administrators and IT architects who are responsible for planning and performing transitioning tasks.

Oracle Solaris 10 Trusted Extensions Installation, Configuration, and Administration provides students with the knowledge to enable, configure, and administer Solaris Trusted Extensions software on a system, running the Oracle Solaris 10 Operating System. The S-595: Oracle Solaris 10 Trusted Extensions Installation & Configuration teaches students how to design and configure Trusted Extensions security label mechanisms, use extended security features of the two graphical desktops, compartmentalize system administrator powers, and control privileges and authorizations.

Creating and editing files with the vi editor or text editor. Use of basic programming constructs, & commands such as variables & loops & how to write a simple program in a programming language.
